We are looking for an Indian Handicraft Carpenter who specializes in creating traditional and contemporary wooden handicrafts. This role involves designing, crafting, and finishing wooden items that reflect India’s rich cultural heritage to our south Asian community and the local.

Job role:

• Ability to decipher our concept drawing and produce intricate wooden handicrafts using modern and ancient tools .

• Able to choose appropriate types of wood and other materials based on project requirements

• Able to use a variety of hand tools and power tools, including chisels, saws, lathes, and carving tools.

• Ensure precision and attention to detail in all aspects of the work to maintain high-quality standards.

• Stay updated with market trends and customer preferences to create in-demand products and also replicate some ancient handicrafts

• Implement eco-friendly practices and use sustainable materials whenever possible.

• Collaborate and work in sync with designers, retailers, and other artisans to develop new products and improve existing ones.

• Continuously improve skills through training programs and workshops.
   

Qualification:

• At least 2-5 years of experience in carpentry, preferably in handicrafts.

• Proficiency in using hand, turning tools and power tools, ability to read blueprints and design plans, strong attention to detail.

• Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting and working with heavy materials.

• Strong creative skills to design unique and appealing products.

• Good communication skills to interact with clients and team members.

• Good spoken English, Hindi and Punjabi will be a additional advantage
